AKROLITHOS S.A. IS AWARDED FOR THE THIRD TIME AT THE EUROPEAN BUSINESS AWARDS

AKROLITHOS S.A. is awarded for the third time at the European Business Awards

The company AKROLITHOS S.A. was honored once again with the title of “National Winner”, representing Greece among other companies in the “European Business Awards” competition that was held in Poland. The CEO of the company Mr. John Hatzisavvas and the Export Manager Mr. Christodoulos Rantis, were present in Warsaw on Thursday 5/12/2019 to receive the company’s award and participate to the final. It is the third time that the company has been awarded at the European awards, the other two was in 2016 and in 2018. The entries for 2019, were 120,000 from 33 countries out of which the 2700 companies that were selected by the committee, were awarded the "One to Watch" title. Afterward from the selected companies the best of them of each country were named "National Winner" which means "the best company of the country", which also reached the final stage of the competition. One of these few selected companies is AKROLITHOS S.A., who received the award in the category of "The Chairman's Selection Award". This is the 12th year that the European Business Awards competition is being held with main intention to support and create much a stronger business community in Europe. About AKROLITHOS S.A. AKROLITHOS S.A. was founded in 1979. It began as a sole proprietorship and gradually developed into a dynamic global company in natural stones with exports to over 90 countries that exceeds the 80% of its turnover. Over recent years, the company has not stopped to invest in the modernization and expansion of its production units, which remain in the Kipia of the Municipality of Pagaio, where the Kavalas Slate quarries are located, which are a major source of raw material for its production. At the same time the company is active in the production of pebbles, owning a high percentage of production of the famous Pebbles of Thasos. In 2019, the company "AKROLITHOS" counts forty years.
