For thousands of years, Kavalas Natural Stone has been the main building element in all the constructions in the wider area of Mount Paggaio, from where it is mined. Hosted the families and dreams of the people, the sanctuaries, and their places of worship, in constructions that stand solid over time. In recent decades this same natural stone, has been exported all over the globe, to 6 continents and more than 90 countries. In one among them, in Denmark, the stone was the inspiration of the designers who created of the Great Northern Denmark hotel, which is a luxury hotel of the highest standards, with Spa, gourmet restaurants, with fantastic golf courts, next to beautiful small lakes. The material was used in all areas of the hotel, such as the lounges, the Spa, the Restaurants, the main entrances and even the executive rooms, as a key element of investment and decoration. Akrolithos S.A made sure that the quality and details in the special constructions of the stone, were in complete accordance to the expectations of the contractor and the designers. The history of Kavalas Natural Stone is highlighted through its lines, the shades, the colors, the fossils that are imprinted on it, but also by the legends and myths that follow it until today. A stone excavated from quarries located on the outskirts of Mount Paggaio in Kavala. Mount Paggaio is one of the most historic mountains in Greece. In it there was one of the largest and most ancient temple of god Dionysus, with the Dionysian festivals, which are still revived by the inhabitants of the area. It was the mountain that Alexander the Great had the famous gold mines, but also the place where the mythical Orpheus, the person who offered the music to the people was worshiped.
